Attendance at Service Events

An absence to an event without notice 24 hours in advance is an unexcused event absence. This includes removing your name from the signup without a reason.

3 unexcused event absences = dismissal from NHS
Attendance at NHS Meetings

NHS Members are expected to come to all meetings that they possibly can.

Members are responsible for signing in to be counted for attendance.

If a member cannot attend, they are responsible for emailing Marcie Lentz (LentzM1@stu.uticak12.org) 24 hours in advance and providing a reason.

If members do not provide notice of their absence or miss a meeting for an inexcusable reason, their absence counts as unexcused.

Two unexcused absences will result in dismissal from NHS.

Three overall absences will result in dismissal from NHS.

Hours
7 hours must be completed by the end of first semester and 8 hours must be completed by the end of second semester.

Hour sheets must be filled out to have hours counted.

If hours are submitted one week late, you receive no hours.

Hours submitted a couple of days late will count for half of the hours.

Exceptions will be provided in case of an excused absence or if another valid reason is provided.

Late-hour sheets will be posted on the website.

To receive a cord and remain an NHS member, you must complete 15 hours. Ten of these hours must be from in-club service opportunities.
